He constituted Acupuncture Practice and Research Unit in Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine with the approval of university senate, for the first time in Turkey. |

He worked as the president of V. National Acupuncture Congress. He left the presidentship of Auriculoterapy Association and 2. presidentship of Acupuncture Association.
Prof. Dr. Kaya Özkuş is still professor of Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and he works as acupuncturist in his acupuncture center.
He is a member of Haydarpaşa High School Education Foundation Administration Board.
He is married and he’s got two kids.
